About Us
VidAmir Foundation is an interdisciplinary arts organization creating innovative works at the intersection of video, performance, sound, and emerging media.
VidAmir Foundation is an interdisciplinary arts organization founded by artists Vida Kashani and Amir Komelizadeh. The foundation is dedicated to the creation, development, and presentation of new artistic work in the fields of video art, audiovisual performance, and expanded media practices. It supports innovative forms that move across disciplines and create new ways of engaging audiences.
At the core of VidAmir is collaboration. Founded through the long-term artistic partnership of Kashani and Komelizadeh, the foundation brings together artists, researchers, technologists, writers, and makers from diverse backgrounds to develop projects through experimentation, dialogue, and shared artistic inquiry. By encouraging the productive collision of disciplines, VidAmir creates space for hybrid practices and new artistic methodologies.
VidAmir produces and presents new works in a range of contexts, including theatres, galleries, festivals, and public space. Its projects often combine moving image, sound, performance, spatial design, and interactive systems, creating immersive experiences that invite audiences to participate rather than only observe.
In addition to producing artworks, the foundation creates platforms for exchange and reflection through workshops, talks, work-in-progress presentations, and other public activities. These moments support artistic development while opening conversations around contemporary social, cultural, and technological questions.
Through its activities, VidAmir Foundation aims to connect artistic innovation with public experience, fostering encounters where disciplines meet, ideas are challenged, and new forms can emerge.

Amir Komelizadeh
is an independent filmmaker, photographer, and multimedia visual artist whose work panels across film, installation, photography and 3d works. He has a BA in Time based media from Academy Minerva in Groningen. Interested in multidisciplinary projects, he has also worked on a few projects as a D.O.P for short independent movies. He is fascinated by the transition between motion and stillness. A swinging movement between resistance and receptivity comes into the picture. In those constructed frames born out of colorful and moody lights, he studies the contradictions which define who we are.

Vida Kashani

She has a master’s degree in Arts and Design specialised in Moving Image from the Sandberg institute. She tells these stories through a poetic approach which stems from her Persian background.
