VidAmir Foundation is an interdisciplinary contemporary arts platform based in Groningen, founded by Vida Kashani and Amir Komelizadeh. The foundation develops, commissions, and presents new artistic work that brings together moving image, performance, sound, text, and visual art.
Through artistic research, experimentation, and collaboration, VidAmir supports artists in creating projects that engage with themes of memory, migration, identity, belonging, power, and social transformation. By fostering dialogue between disciplines and perspectives, the foundation creates opportunities for innovative artistic practices and public engagement.
Through exhibitions, screenings, performances, and public programmes, VidAmir aims to contribute to the development of contemporary art while creating meaningful encounters between artists, audiences, and communities.

Governance
Stichting VidAmir is committed to the principles of good governance, transparency, fairness, and inclusion in all aspects of its work. The foundation adheres to the Governance Code Cultuur, Fair Practice Code, and Code Diversity & Inclusion.
The board is responsible for the governance and supervision of the foundation and for decisions concerning its activities and financial resources. The artistic and organisational management is responsible for the day-to-day implementation of the foundation's activities within the framework established by the board.
Objectives
The objectives of Stichting VidAmir are to create, develop, and present new artistic works in the fields of moving image, audiovisual performance, and interdisciplinary media art. The foundation promotes collaboration between artists, supports the development of innovative artistic practices, and provides a platform for the exchange of artistic ideas and cross-disciplinary collaboration. Through its activities, the foundation contributes to artistic development, cultural exchange, public engagement, and reflection on contemporary social and cultural issues.

Remuneration Policy
The members of the board of Stichting VidAmir perform their board functions on an unpaid basis. They are not remunerated for their board activities and may only be reimbursed for reasonable expenses incurred in the exercise of their functions.
Artists, makers, and other professionals may receive appropriate remuneration for professional services provided to the foundation. Such remuneration is separate from board functions and is determined on the basis of the nature and scope of the work, applicable professional standards, and the available project budget.

Amir Komelizadeh (b, Tehran)
is an interdisciplinary artist, filmmaker, and photographer whose practice spans moving image, installation, photography, and multimedia works. His work explores themes of memory, identity, belonging, and transformation through visually immersive and research-driven artistic forms. As Artistic Director and Production Executor of VidAmir Foundation, he combines artistic development with the practical realization of interdisciplinary projects.
Vida Kashani (b, Tehran)
Is a filmmaker, writer, multimedia artist, and creative producer based in the Netherlands. Working across film, moving image, installation, and text, her research-based practice is rooted in the socio-political fabric of contemporary life. She explores gender dynamics and human experiences of uncertainty, displacement, and belonging in a rapidly changing world. As Co-Founder, Artistic Director, and Producer of VidAmir Foundation, she develops interdisciplinary artistic projects that bring together artists, researchers, and cultural practitioners across diverse contexts.
