HD video, Docu-Fiction film, photo book, and installation, 18 min, 2019

A poetic documentary film which emphasis on the struggles of women in Dutch and Iranian societies.

In collaboration with Setareh Nafisi and Nicholas Thayer. 

This project premiered as an installation at the graduations show of Academy Minerva in the former Sugar Factory in Groningen. In June 2019, it was screened for two days at Groninger Forum, in August was a part of the Open-air cinema at Noorderzon festival.

The film was an official selection of DOCFeed Film festival in Eindhoven and Noordelijk Film Festival in Leeuwarden in 2020. In 2021 at Froma Acuta Gallery in Groningen it was screened as a part of the Art In Rebellion exhibition.  Lately, it was screened at Two Suns Gallery in New York, a program curated by Millennium Film workshop 2022.

In collaboration with Carmen Martino, we designed a photobook for this project consisting of pictures from astonishing colourful mountains of Hormuz Island located in the south of Iran, then pictures of mesmerising mud and sea in Pieterburen located in the north of The Netherlands.
