An experimental audio-visual installation that merges music and sound art, still and moving images, lights and lasers, transcending the boundaries between reality and imagination.
This interdisciplinary project is the creation of visual artists and filmmakers Vida Kashani and Amir Komeilizadeh, based in Groningen, along with sound artist Kamran Arashnia from Tehran.
At its core, “Ephemeral Echoes” challenges societal norms surrounding productivity, inviting visitors to indulge in a multi-sensory experience that celebrates idleness, contemplation, and the beauty of the present moment. Through a unique blend of art forms, this project seeks to blur the lines between leisure and digital wonders, offering a space where simplicity intertwines with the extraordinary.
The 10-minute try-out live show of “Ephemeral Echoes”, which took place at Grand Theatre Groningen, on June 9th, 2024, serves as a glimpse into a larger piece (25min) set to debut in 2025. This demonstration has been made possible through the support of Stimuleringsfonds Creatieve Industrie and Grand 4.
